About the Instructors:
Director: Victoria Brunacci
Victoria Brunacci is the Director of Synergy Yoga on Miami Beach and leads Yoga Training's and retreats worldwide.
Victoria was raised in the mountains of Brazil learning to understand and respect the laws of nature and Divinity.
Victoria is certified in Swami Sivananda's Integral Yoga, and traveled extensively through India studying in Mysore the Ashtanga Vinyasa system at Sri K. Pattabhi Jois' Yoga Research Institute. Victoria is also certified as a Reiki Master level III, Acupressure/Shiatsu and Thai Massage where she studied under master Michael Buck of the Vedic Conservatory.
She is a 500 hrs yoga Alliance Certified specializing in B.K S. Iyengar Therapeutic Method.
Today, Victoria's classes are influenced from Universal Yoga by Master Andrey Lappa , Jivamukti Yoga, Dharma Mittra, & the Ashtanga Vinyasa system.
Victoria has a passion for teaching Kids Yoga and is a true Bhakti Yogi, with an intention of bringing awareness and raising consciousness on the planet.
Ayuverda Instructor: Roberto Portocarrero (Ramesh) (CAP, RYT-500)
Has a bachelors degree in Ayurveda, is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, a yoga therapist, and a marma therapy practitioner. He also teaches Ayurveda at the Ayurvedic College for Wellbeing located in Florida.
Ramesh can help restore you back to balance and health using his vast knowledge in Ayurveda and Yoga. Through an ayurvedic consultation, Ramesh can find out your current system imbalances and can bring you back to health using mainly herbs, oils, and dietetic changes.
Yoga therapy is a growing field in which many hospitals are beginning to implement with their patients.
Ramesh is forever indebted to his yoga master, Swami Jyotirmayananda. Through association with this saint, Ramesh has learned the deeper facets of Yoga and what it means to live the yogic way.
Senior Instructor: Madhusudan Das
Chakra Flow & Vinyasa-Inspired yoga teacher & RYT 200, Mateo Lizarazo currently resides in Miami Beach, teaching at venues all around the Miami area. Deeply rooted in the eastern folk & culture, his primary inspirations include teachers of the Jivamukti & Ashtanga tradition.
His love & studies in music, dance & devotional chanting also influence his teachings. His classes are celebration of life, kindness and self-acceptance.
Senior Instructor: Keiko Fernandez
A proud graduate of Synergy Yoga's 200 Hour Teacher Training Program, she currently teaches yoga at the University of Miami.
Keiko is originally from Miami and grew up as a dancer. She holds a bachelor's degree from University of Miami and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University in New York. She has worked as a physical therapist for 10 years and is an adjunct professor at University of Miami and Florida International University.
Keiko specializes in performing arts physical therapy and sports physical therapy. She worked with the Miami City Ballet as their company physical therapist and now works for touring Broadway productions at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
Keiko began practicing yoga over 10 years ago when she was living in New York City. She enjoys teaching anatomy and injury prevention to yogis to help them understand and develop a safe practice.
Senior Instructor: Atmajeet Kaur Castro
Atmajeet fell into yoga in 2009 practicing as part of theater training. She was born in Cuba where she was dedicated to professional theater. In 2011, she went to Mexico and studied Kundalini Yoga Level I and Kundalini Yoga for Conscious Pregnancy. She then came to Miami and took a Hatha Vinyasa Teacher Training with Victoria Brunacci at Synergy Yoga Center.
She also practices Reiki and other healing techniques such as Vedic Thai Massage with Mukti.
Convinced that life is a spiritual journey, Atmajeet has applied holistic yoga principles to daily life and she tries to share that experience on classes through the passion on singing mantras and body work.
