Description

Learn to create an ecologically and sociologically sustainable landscape which incorporates aspects of native plant habitats, rockland hammocks and pine rockland communities. Steve will discuss plantings for our coastal region. Following the talk, you are invited to join him on a special tour identifying the plants in our Pine Rockland Garden. Native species will be available for purchase to add to your garden.
A Miami native, Steve Woodmansee has spent much of his life exploring South Florida's nature. With more than 20 years experience as a botanist, notably at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden,The Institute for Regional Conservation, and Miami Dade College plus ten years as a consultant and nurseryman, we have the pleasure of welcoming such an expert to the Garden for September's Second Saturday Seminar. Free with Registration - Don't miss it!
